Small-Batch, Hand-Dyed Yarn
No shortcuts. No stripped wool. Just rich, long-lasting colour on bases that actually perform.
Fibre Integrity Matters
Garments made with superwash wool often stretch, sag, and lose their structure over time. The Knit Apothecary takes a different approach. We hand-dye yarn spun with 100% untreated wool using The Apothecary Infusion Method™ — a slow, fibre-first process developed through more than 500 dye batches to create colour that ages beautifully with the garments you make.

The Knit Apothecary
The Story Behind the Yarn
Colour doesn’t matter if the wool doesn’t last. After watching garments I loved slowly lose their shape, I began studying how yarn is prepared and dyed. What I discovered changed everything. Most yarn relies on chemical treatments that prioritize convenience over longevity. The Knit Apothecary takes the opposite approach. After seven years and more than 500 dye batches, I developed The Apothecary Infusion Method™ — a slow process that pairs untreated wool with colour designed to age beautifully. The result is yarn made for makers who care about what their work looks like years later.
Every skein is dyed-to-order. Each base is chosen for its performance.
